Technology has changed the way we shop. If you’re looking to make holiday shopping easier and find the best deals, take advantage of some of the holiday apps for shopping. Here’s are four of our favorites:
SnipSnap Coupon App
Clipping coupons is so passé. Throw away your coupon book and scissors and download the SnipSnap app on your mobile phone. With SnipSnap you just snap a photo of the coupon and it’s stored on your phone for later use. You can also browse other users’ coupons. Available on both iOS and Android.
PeeqPeeq
I’m impressed by organized people, especially during the holidays when things can get a little ‘craaazzy.’ This handy app gathers all the promo ads in your email’s inbox and assembles them into a catalog. You can put the ads into categories like electronics, sports, etc.; email or text the ad to friends; or bookmark your favs.
SaleSorter
Here’s a time saver for you. This app will tell you which stores have the best deals. How? SaleSorter uses your smartphone’s location to show which discounts are currently available at your local stores and points them out on a map with store hours and contact info. Don’t like waiting in lines (well who does)? Call and see how long the lines are. Available on iOS.
ShopAdvisor
Know what you want but want to snag it at the right price? Scan the barcode of your favorite product and ShopAdvisor will put it on your “watch list,” alerting you when the item goes on sale. It charts price history and finds the best deal at a nearby location. You can set price alerts so that you’re automatically notified when those sneakers your son ‘just must have’ goes under $100. Available on iOS and Android.
PoachIt
Do you spend a lot of time searching for the best price? Prices change quickly so it’s hard to know if you’re ever really getting the best deal. PoachIt can track an item on your list and notify you when it goes on sale. PoachIt also has a “Deals” section where you can find lots of marked-down products
